Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a new technology, often referred to as skin needling or micro-needling. CIT therapy is now the gold standard treatment for the improvement of lines & wrinkles, acne scarring, facial &décolletage rejuvenation and stretch mark reduction.

It works by creating microscopic channels in the skin which naturally stimulate collagen production resulting in smoother more youthful looking skin within days. It also increases the elasticity of your skin making it less prone to sagging and wrinkles; CIT also reduces fine lines around eyes due to its ability to build up volume beneath the surface of your skin giving you a younger looking appearance.

CIT involves the use of a sterile medical micro-needling device to create pin point punctures into the dermis layer below the surface of the skin.

Device: The CIT device is a sterile medical micro-needling device that creates pin point punctures into the dermis layer below the surface of the skin. These micro-punctures allow your body’s own healing process to build new collagen and elastin. This stimulates your fibroblasts to produce more collagen, thus improving your skin’s texture, elasticity and tone.

The procedure has been shown to reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as improve pigmentation problems like freckles or age spots as well as provide effective relief from sun damage such as hyper pigmentation (darkening of skin), melasma (brown patches) and even acne scarring!

The procedure stimulates and repairs your own collagen and elastin, resulting in thicker, tighter and brighter skin. It also boosts circulation, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to reach the cells which improves skin tone and texture.

Collagen and elastin are two proteins that make up about 80% of the dermis. Collagen provides structure to your skin, while elastin helps it stretch and recoil. Collagen is also responsible for binding water in your skin so that it remains firm, while elastin helps stretch out wrinkles. These two proteins are broken down by sun exposure, aging, or certain medications (like Accutane). That’s why many people experience fine lines as they age—their collagen has been depleted!

There are some things you can do to preserve your collagen levels: moisturize regularly; avoid smoking; wear sunscreen every day; drink plenty of water throughout the day; don't over-exercise (too much physical activity can cause oxidative stress on our cells); eat a balanced diet consisting of plenty of fruits & vegetables;; get enough sleep at night (if possible).

PROCESS
1. Skin is cleansed
2. Numbing cream is applied
3. Option Facial Acupuncture
4. Mesotherapy solution is applied
5. Microneedling buzzing begins!
6. Sheet mask to cool, soothe and begin healing.

Within 2 days redness has subsided and the healing begins! In sensitive skin types, you can expect up to 7 days to heal. Results show at this time and for weeks after as collagen continues to build between treatments. If you are looking to anti-age or maintain good skin, 4-6 treatments are recommended spaced 4 weeks apart. However, if you're treating scarring you may need 8-12.

The procedure is also versatile: you can combine it with other treatments like chemical peels, facial acupuncture, mesotherapy vials and more to boost their effectiveness by up to 30%, which means you'll see even faster results!

This procedure is extremely safe—the only precautions are avoiding sun exposure after treatment.

Conclusion

The procedure is safe, effective and has little downtime. The results can be seen in as little as 3 sessions with a maximum of 6 treatments. You will notice an improvement in your skin within the first few days after treatment, but it may take up to 3 months before all of the changes are visible.
